Zoel Aeschbacher
Born in 1993 in Paris (France), he is of Swiss and Vietnamese origin. Marked by the short films of the Kourtrajmé collective, he started experimenting with a DV camera. In 2017, he finished a bachelor’s degree in cinema at the ECAL (Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne). His graduation film, Bonobo (2017), was presented in international competition at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival and received the Audience Award. Bonobo won the Student Academy for the best student film in 2019. He is currently working on his first feature film Underdog.
