Shannon Murphy

Shannon has directed for various theatres. She is a Sydney Theatre Award winner, a recipient of the Mike Walsh Fellowship, winner of the Instyle and Audi Women of Style Scholarship and an awardee of the Screen Australia Talent Escalator Program. Named most influential NIDA graduate of the decade by Sydney Magazine, Shannon is also a recent AFTRS alumni. Her film “Kharisma” has screened at Cannes, Palm Springs, Flickerfest, Rhode Island, Byron Bay, Toronto and Kuki International Film Festival. In 2016 she directed Gluck’s opera Orfeo ed Eurdice at the Art Gallery of NSW. In 2016 Shannon directed the award winning Australian comedy drama, “Offspring”, and her latest short film, “Eaglehawk”, was selected for the 2016 Dendy Awards at the Sydney Film Festival and for the Melbourne International Film Festival.
