This year’s competition features 20 films from many corners of the globe, in which the fate of individuals is mixed with the fate of the entire world, and the dynamic, plastic reality leaves a lasting mark on people and their surroundings.

Dnia 17 października 1961 roku algierscy robotnicy wychodzą na ulice, aby zaprotestować przeciwko obowiązkowej godzinie policyjnej narzuconej przez prefekturę policji. Kamel wszystko nagrywa kamerą. Podążamy za nim i jego przyjacielem Nabilem przez całą demonstrację, aż do placu Saint Michel.

17 october 1961, Algerian workers take to the streets to protest the mandatory curfew imposed by the Police prefecture. Kamel takes his camera with him to record anything that could happen. We follow him and his friend, Nabil, through this demonstration as it intensifies, until they reach the place Saint Michel.

Jussi, 48, is totally worn-out. A failed marriage, lost connection with his son and a professional downswing have driven him into a mental slump. Jussi’s young and athletic supervisor Aleksi has taken note of this and offers to help. Aleksi takes Jussi to a remote bog. At the bog, Aleksi instructs Jussi on a series of exercises, meant to conjure up their ‘primitive side’. They throw large rocks, roar, wrestle face down in the mud. The behaviour of the men becomes increasingly animalistic and Jussi, to his surprise, feels very empowered…

Początkujący filmowiec Juan kręci dokumentalny portret Coco, trzydziestokilkuletniej bezdomnej. Film szybko staje pod znakiem zapytania, gdy Juan odkrywa, że Coco uważa się za wróżkę w odczarowanym świecie.

Apprentice filmmaker, Juan makes a documentary portrait of Coco, a thirty-something-year-old marginal. The film is quickly called into question when Juan discovers that Coco thinks she’s a fairy in a disenchanted society.
