Born in Porto, Portugal, he graduated in law before making his directing debut with the short documentary “Jumate/Jumate” which screened at numerous international festivals and won several awards. In 2009 he participated in the Berlinale Talents. His film “The White Roses” screened in the 2014 Berlinale Shorts programme. A Fulbright scholar, he recently completed a film degree at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York and received funding to develop his first feature script, “Migrar Pelas Sombras”.
