DO I STILL GET ON YOUR NERVES?

Monica and Mariusz are neighbors. They hate each other. They involve neighbors, and the police in their war. Until they meet by chance at the funeral of a mutual friend. That’s the way feelings are, they sometimes wake up unexpectedly, at the least expected moments, and they don’t want to settle into a simple pattern for anything.


Director. Author of films, among others: “A Boat”, “Sashka, Sashka”, “Starting Point”, “Spitsbergen”, “Fisheye”. His latest documentary film “Starting Point” was shortlisted for an Oscar, and was in competition at Sundance, Dok Leipzig, won Sheffield and Camerimage, among others. It was shown in the IDFA Panorama program, developed as part of the IDFA Academy. Szczesniak has also been awarded for his script and playwriting: Szczesniak’s drama “Look: Free Will” won the Grand Prix of the Minister of Culture’s “Kontest” Competition for the best contemporary Polish play, and his screenplay “A Boat” won the Nisimasa Short Script Contest. Currently, Szczesniak is preparing a film about Stanislaw Grzesiuk, “Grzesiuk, King of Life”, and is completing the production of his full feature documentary debut ,,Między nami sa sytuacje”/ “Do I Still Get on Your Nerves?”. In 2011- 2015, he was a journalist for Wprost weekly, Playboy monthly, and Życie daily.
