American Film Festival partners with Cinemaforum and opens short film submissions

Hoping the Covid-19 pandemic is going to end by the summer and will let us proceed with the fall activities, we have news about a new initiative in the framework of the American Film Festival planned for November 10-15, 2020.

Responding to a number of requests and enquiries as well as in regard of a multitude of great short films produced in US, American Film Festival in Wroclaw is excited to team up with Warsaw-based Cinemaforum Festival to present a program of US short films.

Organized by FILMFORUM, Cinemaforum has been running for 18 years and is one of the oldest and most established Polish festivals devoted to short cinema. Every year it presents a wide variety of the best short films from all over the world and hosts many Polish and international guests from different branches of audiovisual industry.

We are very glad to announce a call for entries for the program – to be presented during both festivals: in Warsaw and in Wroclaw in November 2020.

Please send your short work (running time up to 40 min.) through the online form.

The submissions are free of charge. Deadline is 10.07.

Here are rules and regulations.

Programmers of both Cinemaforum and American Film Festival will make a selection of diverse films for the program, which will be 90-120 minutes long. We mostly welcome fiction shorts, but animations and experimental pieces are also eligible.

We are looking forward to seeing your wonderful works and screening them to the Polish audiences.

Stay safe!
